Welding Procedures & Weld Symbols

Welding Procedures will be formatted for all Welder Qualification Tests.  These may also double for Works Instruction and applicable to each welding Process and material welded.  Welder qualification tests are covered by BS 4872 – Parts 1 and 2, BS EN 287:2011. BS EN ISO 9606-2004: Part 1 – Steels, Part 2 – Aluminium Alloys.

The layouts of Welding Procedures are to BS EN ISO 15606 (07-09-13-14).

When Welding Procedure Approval is required, BS EN ISO 15614 will cover SAFED and /or PED approval, arrangements can be made with a Test House for witnessing and testing and the issue of all certification.

WELD SYMBOLS are covered by BS EN 22553:1994 Welded brazed and soldered joints – symbolic representation on drawings.  Short courses can be carried out for the uses of weld Symbols on drawings.
