Course Outline
These Courses will be covered by a Consultancy Visit and will cover individual requirements as regards the welding process and materials to be welded e.g. low carbon steels and stainless steels.
Welder Training Courses
Welding Courses and Technology Transfer for any of the processes will cover the broad outlines detailed below. Specific details will be supplied on an inquiry and leading to a Consultancy visit.
- All courses are mandatory to do the Health & Safety element for each process shown below.
- Equipment and Consumables used depending on the application.
- Basic instruction in welding in the Flat and Horizontal-vertical positions leading to Positional welding in Sheet metal, Plate and Pipe.
- Weld edge preparation depending on the metal and thickness and type of joint.
- Visual examination of welds.
- Destructive testing of welded samples including macroscopic examination. This may also include the services of a Test House.
- Formatting Welding procedures for repeatability of welding to the relevant BS EN ISO Standards. (See Welding Procedures). Procedure Approvals witnessed by a Test House can also be arranged.
- Issue of Certification and if required arrangements for Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) approval carried out by a Test House.
